Fortun3: The Animated Series Inspired by the FTX Collapse is Coming

The FTX collapse was a huge contagion event that even the normal world was talking about. Plenty of people got hurt and lost money as a result of the fallout. It’s not an event that will soon be forgotten. To capitalize on this, Jon Heder and T.J. Miller will be creating an animated series surrounding this famous event in crypto history.

The series will be produced by Toonstar who will also be producing a game alongside the series release. This may be the first ‘major’ production of sorts surrounding recent crypto events, so it’s an exciting development nonetheless. A release date for Fortun3 has not yet been made public.

FTX Trying to Retrieve $71M From Philanthropic Division

It’s no secret that FTX remains buried in lawsuits for its collapse that occurred back in November 2022. What this also means is that FTX has been burning money to cover its legal fees in trying to survive litigation. So any funds that can be used are very much needed which would explain why they are trying to get philanthropy funds back for survival.

Alongside legal fees, customer funds are still in the process of being retrieved from FTX itself. Since it was one large Ponzi scheme, it has not been the easiest process and remains dragging through the courts. While philanthropic endeavors were for fostering goodwill with the public and its perception of crypto, users simply want their funds back.

Crypto Degens Are Betting on Hamster Races

This is my favorite story yet to talk about here on Degen Scoop. Put simply, users are betting on hamster races. The races are streamed on Twitch but the betting happens on-chain with $BUSD as the betting token. The Gamblefi narrative is clearly getting out of hand if this is what gambling addicts are turning towards.

The host website launched last week, but was brought front and center to Crypto Twitter today by a handful of users. This is not investment advice, but the protocol token is $HAMS if you’re interested in looking at price action. The token’s FDV is at $4.6M at the time of writing.
