ZachXBT, Famous On-Chain Sleuth, Faces Defamation Lawsuit from MachiBigBrother

On Friday, Zach made the world aware that he was facing a defamation lawsuit by the hands of MachiBigBrother, AKA Jeffrey Huang.

Clearly Machi was unhappy with the journalism published by Zach last summer which detailed his alleged crimes. At today’s prices, that 22,000 ETH is worth $37M USD.

Thankfully, Zach has received over $1M in donations at the time of this writing. If you look on-chain, you can see he has begun to move the funds off-chain to hire legal assistance.

A $95K CryptoPunk Got Burned, Intentionally

The Ordinals hype continues as a CryptoPunk got burned to be inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain instead. How it works is this: the NFT got burned on the Ethereum blockchain and is now inscribed to a satoshi (the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin) on the Bitcoin blockchain.

This is the first Punk to have been burned to become an inscription, so this is a historic event in NFT land. Ordinals are still a nascent market sector that will only see more growth as users decide that they wish to hold NFTs on Bitcoin as well. The goal of the group that did this is to fractionalize ownership.

Potential Collab Between Fortnite and Nike’s .Swoosh NFTs

We’ve spoken about Nike NFTs in the past, and it looks like they may be making their way to Fortnite. While Fortnite isn’t as popular as it once was, it still sees 200+ million players monthly in their ecosystem. In a recent Nike teaser, the .Swoosh logo appeared implying the possibility of these NFTs being used.

There remains no official announcement from either Nike or Epic Games, but the implication is there. Gamers have been abrasive towards NFT inclusion, likely due to microtransactions polluting games, but reframing them as digital collectibles will likely quiet them. It Fortnite were to implement these NFTs, it could prove to be a boon for this Polygon based NFT collection..
