Worldcoin From Sam Altman Has Launched

This may be one of the more dystopian projects to grace crypto considering the fact that users must scan their eyes to create a digital identity. Sam Altman is famous for also being the CEO of OpenAI which took the world by storm late last year showing the world the capabilities of AI.

The project has chosen eyes because it’s imperative to be able to recognize what’s human and what is not in the coming future. Although, we think there will be ways to easily mitigate this hurdle that’s been constructed. While the way in which digital identities are created is unsettling with Worldcoin, we imagine more methods of DID are created with crypto as the medium.

Putin Has Signed Digital Ruble into Law

It was only two weeks ago where we discussed the notion of a digital ruble being created. Just yesterday, Putin signed it into law which paves the way for the impending CBDC to come to life. Under the bill the central bank, which is the Bank of Russia, is the only institution that will have the power as operator of the digital ruble.

At the earliest, citizens are expected to have access to their CBDC wallets come 2025 which will come faster than we expect. The CBDC tests are cleared to begin August 1st which is under a week from today. As of right now, Russians will not be forced to utilize the impending CBDC but this seems unlikely if Putin is still in power when it launches.

Do Kwon is The First Bounty for Arkham

The dox-to-earn initiative from Arkham received widespread criticism from industry participants and was still defended by its CEO despite the implications. Reluctantly, we’ll agree for now given the first bounty that has been posted: Do Kwon’s crypto wallets. Do Kwon wreaked havoc on the industry when Luna crashed so it’s only natural one the greatest industry villains is a bounty.

Two detectives were able to find his wallets and were credited ~$5,000 for their efforts. This would be considered a good use of the program, but we remain worried about the inevitable darkness that will come out of it. For now, we’ll relish in its completion of a good deed.
